The 5-door SEAT Mii revealed ahead of the Geneva Motor Show
The 5-Door SEAT Mii has been revealed ahead of its debut at Geneva in March, joining the 5-door VW Up and Skoda Citigo city cars. Today it’s SEAT’s turn to take the VW Group City Car and turn it in to a 5-door, with the reveal of the SEAT Mii 5-door ahead of the Geneva Motor Show in March, alongside the 5-door VW Up and the 5-door Skoda Citigo. Really, there’s not a huge amount to say about the SEAT Mii 5-door that we haven’t already said about the 3-door Mii - except it gets two extra doors.
BMW X6 M50d: Performance & Economy figures revealed
With the BMW X6 M50d confirmed as on its way, we now get news on its performance and economy. We’ve been reporting the likelihood that BMW will drop their new three stage turbo diesel in to the X6 for a long time now, and that’s a racing certainty after BMW teased what is almost certainly the X6 M50d this week with a video. But what about power, performance and economy on the M50d?
Tucked away on page nine of the May 9, 1964 issue of Competition Press and Autoweek is an intriguing little story: “FIA Rejects Ford Bid for Homolgation [sic].”
At the time, the Mustang had just made its world debut, but Ford was already scheming to fold the car into its “Total Performance” campaign. The automaker apparently proposed to do so with a fleet of crazy fiberglass-bodied touring cars. According to Competition Press, Ford tried to get the new Mustang classified as a touring car for international racing.
